17AM-D XXXR current type protector is a current protection device with a built-in heating wire element. The heating wire element is connected in series with the protector's bimetal disc. When the current passes through the protector, the heating wire will generate heat. When the motor is running normally, the current is small and the heat generation is small, which will not cause the protector's bimetal disc to disconnect. When the motor is overloaded or blocked, the current increases and the heat generation increases, causing the protector to quickly disconnect, playing a current protection role. When there is no current, the protector will naturally cool down, and the bimetal disc will return to its initial state. The moving contact will close, and the circuit will conduct again.

17AM-D XXXR+PTC thermal protector is equipped with a PTC heating element in parallel with the contact on the 17AM-DXXXR protector. When the 17AM-D XXXR protector is in the closed state, the PTC is in a short circuited state without voltage. When the protected object has an abnormality, the contact of the protector is disconnected, and the PTC generates voltage heat, which keeps the protector in the disconnected state. Due to the PTC resistance reaching 10K Ω or more, the load is in a stopped state. Only after the power is cut off and the PTC cools down, can the protector contact automatically reset and the load resume operation when the power is reconnected
