SBW series protectors have two contacts on the movable contact arm and two stationary contacts on the base. When the temperature of the protected electrical appliance increases, the heat generated is transferred to the bimetallic and reaches the predetermined operating temperature. When the set value is set, the bimetallic will act quickly to push the movable contact to disconnect the contacts to cut off the two circuits; when the temperature drops to the rated reset temperature value, the bimetallic will automatically resume the circuit. SBW series thermal protectors are mainly used for Y-type three-phase motors and control parallel circuit electrical appliances.
