3MP protector consists of a metal casing with terminals, bimetal disc temperature sensors, welding pads, moving contacts, insulation paper, stationary contacts, S-shaped heating wires, and a base plate. Under the action of current, the S-shaped electric heating wire generates heat, which drives the bimetal disc sensing plate to act, making the bimetal disc exhibit high thermal sensitivity and current sensitivity, especially when the motor is locked, it can quickly shut down the power.3MP is widely used in washing machines, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, high speed blender, juicers, meat grinders, etc. The sensitive current characteristics of 3MP allow the position of the motor protector to be moved outside the winding, providing motor manufacturers with flexibility in installation space design.
The 3MP-P protector is equipped with a PTC thermistor with a resistance of over 1K ohms on the outer shell of the 3MP protector. One side of PTC is in effective contact with the outer shell through a steel card, and the other side is in conductive contact with the bottom plate through a steel card. Connect the PTC and 3MP contacts in parallel. When the protector is disconnected under the action of temperature and current, the PTC is energized to generate heat, and its heat is transferred to the bimetal disc through the housing, keeping the bimetal disc in a disconnected state. Only when the power is cut off and the PTC is powered off without heating or cooling, can the protector be reset, achieving manual reset function. This protector is widely used in vacuum cleaners, garden tools, high speed blender, juicers, meat grinders, etc.
